Argyris Mountains

From Seraph Bay
The Argyris Mountains are an imposing chain which runs across the continent, separating the wealthy cities of the south from the wilderness of the northern lands. Difficult to traverse in the summer, they are all but impassable in winter. Most traffic therefore goes around them, sailing out beyond their spur and back into Seraph Bay. Only recently have airships made direct crossings feasible.

The mountains themselves are composed of hardest granite, and are very solid. Natural caverns of any significance are rare. Ruined settlements and abandoned fortifications dot the mountains above Seraph Bay, remnents of the city’s more glorious past.
